Macrocell
Macrocell

Macrocells are, as the name says, handles the signals larger way (macro). This cell covers more area for mobile phone and internet connectivity than microcell and picocell.

This covers more coverage than microcell, uses a high power base station, requires more power than microcell consumes.

These antennas can be mounted on rooftops, masts, hilltops, and existing structures.

This microcell is using the transceiver which receives the signals from the network provider passes the same to the area which it is cover.

Macrocell can be used in a remote location, rural areas and villages and covers a larger area of the network, microcells are used in a smaller area where the density of the population is high, Picocells are used in smaller the area what microcell uses and smallest area like a home, office, warehouse, and shopping floors can be covered with the help of Femtocells.

Macrocell Specifications

The usage specification of the 5G MACROCELL as follows.

Coverage Area              : Within 20 Km

Supports users             : More than 200 simultaneous users

Connection method      : Microwave, DSL, and, Fiber

Energy                          : 40 watts

Cost-Effective              : Moderate Cost

In case of huge coverage and effective transmission of signals will require high capacity transceiver this helps the network provider to cover more areas.

The macrocell can be coupled with 5G technology to transmit high range high density faster internet connectivity to the local user which enables computer gadgets like laptop, desktop, tablet, mobile phone application, and IoT.

The macrocell can be integrated with Artificial Intelligence for improved connectivity that helps in extending the strong signals where requires.

MIMO techniques are used in macrocell in 5G technology that uses multiple antennas for exchange the signals.

The abbreviation of MIMO is Multiple inputs and multiple output technology this reduces the signal loss and effective communication whether it is audio or video data.

Overall, small cells are used to get the signals from high-end towers and pass the received signals to the lower-level users in that way this allows all the users are stayed connected with the 5G network.
